Source your teachings from your heart. Your voice and power as a teacher comes from listening intimately to what is true for you. When you teach from this place of inspiration and authenticity, your offering will be felt on a cellular and energetic level that will resonate deeply with your students.
Kristen (E-RYT200 and yoga life coach) offers teacher trainings and mentorship, women’s yoga programs, private yoga instruction, guided meditations, workshops and international retreats, hike/yoga sessions and much more. She’s located in Canmore, AB but has been known to wander.
After all is said and done, teaching yoga is most powerful not when it comes from a place of textbooks, spreadsheets, and diagrams, but when it comes from a personal place within the teacher. I’ve really noticed over the years the differentiation between good teachers and great teachers: good teachers may rock their trainings and have all the alignment cues memorized, but great teachers focus more on developing their intuition and connecting with their students on a more personal, human level. Sharing stories and teachings from your heart can be powerful and make you relatable to your students.
